Liebster Award for Plan. Save. Travel.

Liebster Award for Plan. Save. Travel.

Well…could not have found a better way to start off 2017. This is my First Post for 2017 and the first recognition for my blog ever since I started blogging 6 months back. All thanks to Lynne Sarao from Well-Caffeinated Traveller for nominating my blog for the Liebster Award.

The Liebster Award is an online recognition given to new and upcoming bloggers. It is the perfect way to motivate aspiring bloggers and to welcome them to the ever growing ‘blogosphere’.

The rules for the award goes as below:

  • Display the award on your blog.
  • Answer their 10 questions about yourself.
  • Nominate 5-10 other bloggers for the award and inform them via social media.
  • Create your own set of questions for your nominees.
  • Enjoy winning an award and pass this great feeling onto someone else!

And here are my answers for Lynne

  1. Congratulations on the Liebster Award – it’s so great when you get some recognition for all the hard work you put into a blog! Keep up the good work!

  2. Congrats! I couldn’t help but laugh at your pick for your favorite travel related book or movie! I will have to also check out all the blogs you nominated! I love finding new blogs, it’s inspirational!

  3. Congratulations on your Liebster Award! Very clever answer with ‘off season’ being your fave season. And I also love waking up to so many beautiful pics from around the world on Instagram too! Well done on your excellent questions to your next nominees 🙂

  4. Congratulations for your award, it’s great when all of your effort gets recognised! This will no doubt spur you on for even greater things in the future!

  5. Congrats on the award! Haha the off season answer got me laughing! But it is true a season with lower cost flights and not that many tourists is a good season. What keeps most bloggers up at night is writing, editing or planning. Risks of the job!

  6. Whilst it’s never good to hear that some people are being kept awake by their blogs it is nice to know I am not the only one.

You answers are very interesting especially the fact that you like to stay away from the tourist trail. I think it is one of those things that bloggers especial mention frequently – that they want to stay off the popular routes and that they are not tourists – I travel for my blog as well, frequently, but there are times when I still class myself as a tourist – after all I want to visit the popular sites of a place (the bits that make it famous) if not, surely we are just cutting ourselves off. Likewise, I am a tourist am I not- it is not my home, I am just visiting.

    1. Yes I get that feeling. It is the FOMO that makes us visit the popular places but a huge crowd is a big turn off for me. If possible try to visit these places early so that you get some nice pics. I have anyway made up my mind that in every destination i visit, I will explore atleast one place that I have not read a lot about.

  7. hahaha. I completely agree, blogging and things I need to do for the blog keeps me up at night! I guess it comes with the job lol!

And of course congrats!! It’s always nice to get recognition for something you are working your butt off on! Congrats again :)!!!!!

  8. Congratulations mate! It’ a great way to get recognised and also provides much-needed motivation when you’re early into your blogging adventure.
I’m sure you’ll race ahead to greater heights and get to see a lot of breathtaking places along the way!

  9. Congratulations on your award. It feels great when the blogging viagra community reads and appreciates your hard work. I have read your blog and loved all the posts so far. Hope you come up with many such interesting posts in the future.
